Okay, firstly to play this American Civil War game you need a Unity supporting browser rather than a confederate one such as Chrome! The American Civil War itself asked two fundamental questions about the America that had thrown of the shackles of the British a hundred years before; are we an
indissolvable nation or a collection of semi-independent states and how can we
truly be a nation where "all men are created equal" when we maintain a massive slave population? The resulting conflict that brought these questions to a head was to last four years and claim 625,000 lives.
It started after Abraham Lincoln was elected
president in 1860 on a platform of ending slavery in America against the wishes and economy of the southern states who declared themselves as no longer part of the United States of America but a new grouping, the Confederate States of America which was not recognised in the north. The American Civil War itself started on 12th April 1861 at Fort Sumter in Charleston Bay when the new
Confederate army claimed the fort as their own, opened fire and forced the Union troops to surrender. Lincoln sent his troops in and the war had begun.
This American Civil War game is quite large and
reflects some of the warfare during that period. You are a cannon gunner and can choose to either play as a Union or Confederate soldier. There may be moments when you think the game has frozen, but just wait patiently whilst the awesome graphics render.
